Chai Porridge

Ingredients

1/3 cups of water

2 tbsp of Chai Boy chai

3/4 cup of the milk of your preference

1/2 cup of oats

1 date

1/2 cup of chopped mixed nuts and seeds (almonds, macadamias, walnuts, pumpkin seeds)

1 Banana

honey

 

Method

In a small saucepan add the chai and water and heat till the spices smell fragrant. Add the milk of your preference and heat till steam starts to rise from the pot. Remove the pot from the heat and strain into a jug.

In a clean saucepan add the chai from the jug along with the oats and the mixed nuts and seeds and cook on the stove for 5 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Slice up the banana and dates and add to the porridge mixture along with honey (save half the banana for garnish).

Garnish with banana, pumpkin seeds, black sesame seeds and a dusting of cinnamon.
